It seems each album they make the track list gets smaller. Over all this album was good, but I wish it had more. The whole song gives me goosebumps (the good ones). Alice Glass's singing voice and lyrics are beautiful. This song's surprising mood of sadness and kindness contains a peaceful lullaby sound. The synth that starts a little after the 1:00 minute mark is amazing a good description I can think of is 'cold wind knocking icicles off trees'.Д«esides the title.

This song it awesome because it creates a movie in my mind making it very cinematic and. The lyrics fit perfectly with the songs over all sound. The lead rave synth has a very strong sound that provides a perfect melody, it almost makes me think of a song but I can't put my tongue on it because it changes halfway through the loop. It sends blood to my feet and makes me want to jump.

I really like this songs beat but melody needs to be added to some of the empty spaces. The hip hop beat and shrilling vocals send shivers up my back. the songs synth does sound a little to much like Baptism (II), but its okay I find this song an improvement of baptism because it isn't distorted. The beat is random and not one to clap to at a concert but I love it, it keeps the song interesting and it adds energy. The drum beat in this song is very different from their other songs, it almost sounds like beat from Purity Ring. This song was released also as a single a week before the album. This song is very visual and cinematic to me, the sounds and noises allow me to envision a setting (I love songs that can do that). The soft bells in the build up are beautiful and add a sad mood to the song. It shows off their epic improvements in sound and composition. This song was released before the album as a single, along with Plague. The composition is excellent and the whole thing makes you want to dance, and the lead synth in the chorus is mind blowing! It's defiantly one of my favorites on the album. The hip hop beats, low dirty bass, high pitch splicing, and some understandable vocals adds variety to this album. The title goes perfectly well with the vocals and overall sound.

With Ethan Kath's cold/dark synths and with Alice Glass's terrifying/chilling vocals you can already tell this album is going to be good. This song starts off the album well and it goes perfectly with their intended message of oppression. Here are a couple of my favorite songs from the album. This band has matured and is only getting better every with every release. I personally didn't enjoy Alice Glass screaming and yelling over the distorted bleeps and bloops in the first album and Im glad it was just a phase. Their sound has changed, but for the better. Yes it still has the dark atmospheric sound that they had in II, but It lacks the arcade/gameboy synths in their first album. Crystal Castles is commonly known for their dark gameboy glitchy synthesized distorted rave music, but does this album still possess crystal castles unique sound? Yes and no.
